So sad but this is so true. I see it happen in both human and animal medicine all too often. I unfortunately know of a vet who no longer vaccinates his own animals because he knows of the dangers but continues to recommend it for his clients simply in the name of profits. I never wanted to believe that people who say they care for animals could do such a thing, but working in the industry proved me wrong.
Thank you for speaking out too Dr. Dobias. As I share these messages with friends and others typically the first thing out of their mouth is, “But my vet say’s….” Until I put forth a boat load of research based evidence they don’t want to hear. Having more DVM’s who have the courage to speak out against the corruption in the industry will help it to shift back to that which it was originally intended….healing animals…not hurting them.
My dad always says, “There is one thing that we could take out of the world that would end all world problems.” That one thing is GREED.
