Dear Friends,

One of the most common conversation  topics of these days is health care and the problems in veterinary and human healthcare seem to be similar and deep seeded.  Skyrocketing health care cost  make people loose their homes, paralyze employers and bankrupt entire countries.

For  years,  I have been  alarmed  by the state of our healthcare that rewards doctors and veterinarians for treating disease and there is no time left for promoting health. We measure our healthcare standards by the number of MRI scanners per capita and  include the money “made on disease” into our countries’ GDP.  This would  mean that the sicker we are the better our economy is, which is absurd.

Despite the medical advances, people and animals are sicker and cancer rates are skyrocketing. Adding the fact that our medical system is driven by one sided research controlled by the self-serving interests of pharmaceutical companies, we need to do something now.

As a veterinarian, I have had the first hand opportunity to witness the miracles of natural healing and I have also seen the unnecessary suffering and premature death caused by the lack of use ad knowledge of holistic healing methods.   I have met with open minded practitioners  who fear loosing their license because they would be held liable if they didn’t use conventional treatments while thousands of animal and human patients die from drug side effects.

In summary the lack of education, research funding and knowledge in holistic and natural medicine and disease prevention  is a real problem.

In 2008 I sold my veterinary practice and decided to dedicate  a large portion of my time to disease prevention.  A part of this plan was to establish Healing Foundation, a non-profit organization that will focus on animal welfare, holistic medical research and cancer treatment and prevention.

The main purpose of Healing foundation is to educate, connect with open minded researchers and fund studies that will replace conventional drugs, chemotherapy and radiation with natural treatment methods and prevention.
