Cancer Update from John Hopkins University

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

I love my friend  Hilda because she is such an infinite source of wisdom.  She has sent me this information and  I would like to share it with you.

The truth is that your  animal friends  can’t  have a  good life without you   being healthy.

That  is  why this blog very much belongs on the holistic animal healing blog.  So many animals  lose their  humans    to cancer and here is  what you  can  do to prevent it.

With gratitude,

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to  10 times in a person’s lifetime.

3. When the person’s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, but also to environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing the diet to eat more adequately and healthy, (4-5 times/day) and by including supplements, it will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7.Radiation, while destroying cancer cells,  but also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

*CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc . These are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses, but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. A better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little other meat, like chicken. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruit helps put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to

cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at

temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C)..

e. Avoid coffee and black tea which have high caffeine.  Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties. Water, it is best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body’s killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Florescence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body’s own killer cells to destroy cancer cells.. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body’s

normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

A Jack Russell doing house chores – So much fun!

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

We  do not   have a  TV at home   because some time ago I  decided not  to watch  any  negative  news. If there is  something  important  going on in the world,  I seem to   learn  about  it  from others.

I simply do not like infusing my brain  with the negativity of morning news and prefer  to start my day on a good note.

I sometimes  spend 5 – 10 minutes waking up, reading my friends’  posts on Facebook which is a great  antidote to the  stale and entrenched negativity of TV news.

This morning,   I  found a YouTube video on my niece’s  site.  It shows a Jack Russell  that  was taught to do dozens  of  house  chores. What a dream! Our dogs doing our housework!  I hope that you will laugh as  loud and hard  as  I  did.  From making coffee to putting away laundry,  closing  cabinets and  undressing the owner,  this little dog  is  obviously  passionate about  his job.

What  is the message in this video?

Don’t  forget  to have fun with your dog,  put him or  her to work because dogs love it.

If passion is missing , you may think of  and plan a gradual shift towards something that rocks  your heart and warms your soul. I know it is not easy to change our habits but it is definitely worth it.  That is one of the secrets of health and  longevity for you and your animal friend.

Have  fun watching!

Just thinking – What is wrong with us? (by Michelle Saari)

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Laying awake for hours, light bulb moment, what’s wrong with us?

Hi Peter

Thank you for teaching us to be more proactive with our pets and ourselves. It suddenly occurs to me that the reason for a lot of our problems is that we want that “magic pill”.

If someone is told they have high cholesterol, they want a pill to make it go down so they can continue to fuel their bodies with the junk that caused it.

When they have a sore joint, they want a pill to dull the pain, instead of curing the cause of the pain.

When they cough, they want something to stop the cough.  (isn’t a cough a normal way of clearing the passage?)

When we have a fever, we immediately want to get it down. (Isn’t fever natures way of fighting something bad in our bodies?)

If we are overweight, we want a magic pill to shed the pounds because it is easier than proper diet and exercise.

Allergies are a natural defense.  Unless it is extreme, as all the above mentioned ailments) why do we want to put a blanket over them.

The pharmaceutical companies are rich because they have convinced us that this is the answer to everything.  Shame on us for believing it.
Thanks for listening.

Holistic approach to kidney disease treatment

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

If you have been living with a pet suffering from kidney disease or hope to prevent it in the future, the following info is definitely for you.

Chronic kidney disease or chronic renal insufficiency is one of the most common conditions of cats and slightly less common in dogs. Symptoms include increased drinking and urination often followed by lack of appetite, vomiting, and muscle loss and general deterioration.

Kidney tissue is composed of very fine and sensitive kidney units that filtrate the blood, eliminate toxins and regulate water balance in the body. These units are highly prone to damage due to toxins or immune system dysfunction. (more…)

Why rigid approach to medicine doesn’t do the trick anymore

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

Recently, I  received an e-mail from my  friend who’s customer’s dog was diagnosed with what she called  “a nasty case of fungus on her feet which started as fungal but went into bacterial infection.” The owner was soaking her dogs feet in hibitane wondering, if my Healing Solution formula would work  for dog foot fungus.

I almost answered her question privately and then I thought,  it is a perfect opportunity to get a few  things of my chest, write a blog and hopefully help at the same time

Over  the course of the past  months of blog writing,  I  have found a new passion for writing and bringing more clarity into animal healing. I like to question and challenge beliefs of others and also my own. This way I keep my ego in check and keep on learning. In the big scheme of things,  we humans, know very little.

What are vets afraid of ?

What  are veterinarians afraid of ?

A couple  of  weeks  ago, I got a call from a new client, let’s give her a fictional name Paula.  She got my  name from her friend, Andrea, a Great Dane breeder and  a long time client of mine, who’s dogs have been known to live well into the teens. (more…)

What is coming in 2010 ?

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

I  sense that this  year will be the year of change.

First, I am happy to inform you that  I have no more  fear of loosing my veterinary license. This concern is very common among holistic practitioners,  simply because the licensing bodies often recognize conventional medicine only.

I love the newly found freedom because it gives me an opportunity to share anything important with you, no matter what the opinion of  the less open minded conventional circles is.

This year,  I will be paying more attention to the  intuitive part of healing, where the answers come with ease and clarity.  I would like to teach you how  to tap into your intuition,  inner knowledge and  healing energy that resides in all of us.

Here are my plans:

The evil empire of puppy mills and catteries

Sully, Brady and Skai

I never realized, how many people talk about their vet bills on Twitter.

While I sometimes joke that vets are still cheaper than most kitchen or bathroom reno’s or lawyer visits, vet bills can get out of control and seem never ending..

If you have ever complained about the cost of vet care, keep on reading, it may save you thousands of dollars.
In next few  weeks  and months, I would like to share with you a simple to follow plan of keeping your animal friends healthy and happy.
