How to REDUCE the risk of CANCER naturally.

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

Today,  I have decided to write on the topic of the big C word – Cancer. If you have ever attended a cancer fundraiser,  the common suggestion is that we have to “fight cancer” or “wipe out cancer.”  I wonder if you too find it strange that the words of warfare are used in healing and medicine.

Can we fight  cancer?

In my opinion the results of  “fighting cancer” are similar to the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. The more we fight it, the more damage is done, in other words the  higher the cancer rates are.

After years of treating cancer in my practice and also witnessing it when my brother and father died of cancer under conventional medical care, I have reached the conclusion that *cancer cannot be fought but it has to be understood*. (more…)

Protecting your pet from radioactive fall out

Sunday, March 20th, 2011

Quite a few  people  have asked me what  to do  to  protect  your  pets from RADIOACTIVE FALL OUT and if they should use Potassium Iodide for their pets.  While the risks  of increased radiation in  North America are low, it never hurts  to learn the important facts.

What does Iodine do?

Following a radiological or nuclear event, radioactive iodine may be released into the air and then be breathed into the lungs. Radioactive iodine may also contaminate the local food supply and get into the body through food or through drink. When radioactive materials get into the body through breathing, eating, or drinking, we say that “internal contamination” has occurred.

In the case of internal contamination with radioactive iodine, the thyroid gland quickly absorbs this chemical. Radioactive iodine absorbed by the thyroid can then injure the gland. Because non-radioactive Iodine acts to block radioactive iodine from being taken into the thyroid gland, it can help protect this gland from injury.

What an Iodine supplement cannot do

Knowing what a good source of Iodine cannot do is also important. It cannot prevent radioactive iodine from entering the body. It  can protect only the thyroid from radioactive iodine, not other parts of the body. It cannot reverse the

New look, new product – Green Min is here!

Thursday, November 18th, 2010

Dear friends,

After 2 years of preparation,  trials and adjustments,  we  will be  soon launching  our new all natural plant based mineral supplement.

We have been seeing some very positive changes in the animals who take it and it has become very obvious that our pets’ diet is not complete and  that some  minerals are  generally missing.

So many of you are asking, when is Green Min coming to retail and I have good news.  GreenMin has already been added into two brands of premium natural foods:

“Natural Instincts” and “3P Naturals.” Just look for the green min sticker in the freezers of your pet store. The retail version packaged in jars is coming soon along with our new GreenMin webpage that is being prepared as we speak.

For  more information on Green Min you can view our temporary Green Min pageClick here.

With gratitude,

A Jack Russell doing house chores – So much fun!

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

We  do not   have a  TV at home   because some time ago I  decided not  to watch  any  negative  news. If there is  something  important  going on in the world,  I seem to   learn  about  it  from others.

I simply do not like infusing my brain  with the negativity of morning news and prefer  to start my day on a good note.

I sometimes  spend 5 – 10 minutes waking up, reading my friends’  posts on Facebook which is a great  antidote to the  stale and entrenched negativity of TV news.

This morning,   I  found a YouTube video on my niece’s  site.  It shows a Jack Russell  that  was taught to do dozens  of  house  chores. What a dream! Our dogs doing our housework!  I hope that you will laugh as  loud and hard  as  I  did.  From making coffee to putting away laundry,  closing  cabinets and  undressing the owner,  this little dog  is  obviously  passionate about  his job.

What  is the message in this video?

Don’t  forget  to have fun with your dog,  put him or  her to work because dogs love it.

If passion is missing , you may think of  and plan a gradual shift towards something that rocks  your heart and warms your soul. I know it is not easy to change our habits but it is definitely worth it.  That is one of the secrets of health and  longevity for you and your animal friend.

Have  fun watching!

Are you  busier  than you would like to be?

Do you feel  guilty  leaving your animal  friend  behind  when you are busy at work or with life in general?

Are you feeling like the world  is speeding up and at  any moment  you are going to fall on your face because the treadmill is going  much too fast?

I too have been challenged  so many  times;  trying to  find more time  to spend with my  friends and family, including Skai and Mina,  my  pets.

Are we getting busier because based scientists say  the universe is  speeding  up?

Maybe,  but  I  have stubbornly defended  the  idea that  life doesn’t  need to be a crazy  madness and that it is up  to us to make it better and more balanced.   I don’t mean perfect because that is  much  too close to boring.

What I  enjoy  is the process of  finding solutions,  making life better, simplifying, listening to our heart and doing what  we love.

I hope you will  enjoy this 20 minute podcast that  I recorded  without  preparation and cutting.  It  may give you some ideas on  how you can find you own way to create the life you imagine.

I urge you to follow  your  heart,  listen to your  soul and simplify… if you would like a good  read on that  subject.  I love the book called  Power  of  Less by  Leo Babauta ; 4 hour  work week by Timothy  Ferris and Inspiration by Wayne Dyer.

Enjoy the podcast!

Wondering what is missing in your pet’s diet?

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Have you ever wondered if there is something missing in your animal friend’s diet?

How about minerals? How can you insure that your dog or cat is getting all the important nutrients needed for good health and longevity? Essential minerals are not always present in sufficient amounts, especially if your pet’s diet is limited to a few ingredients.  Even if you feed a variety of foods, intensive agriculture and soil depletion can lead to serious health problems unnecessary suffering and expensive vet bills.

What can you do? (more…)
